Healing Hands Community Birthing Project (HHCBP) is a community based birth support organization dedicated to serving and supporting BIPOC childbearing families in Texas. Our goal is to eliminate birth outcome disparities, reduce maternal morbidity and mortality and improve birth outcomes in BIPOC mothers and infants.
Our Perinatal Community Health Workers (PCHWs), birth workers trained and certified as both community based birth and postpartum doulas and community health workers, serve and support marginalized and under resourced communities in the Greater Austin and Houston Texas areas. Through comprehensive education and training opportunities, we empower birth workers to pursue their passion while earning a living wage.
“I couldn't be happier with the support I received. My doula, Lucretia, was with me every step of the way, ensuring I felt comfortable and cared for. Her dedication showed me this is more than a job for her—it's her passion.”
